Jorge A. Travezaño Maximiliano
Director of the Bridge of Hope fair trade project, states his goal "to contribute to a process that can produce life changing results for the most marginalized artisans in our country. I believe it is possible to have a just world for all." Jorge has 5 years of experience as chief of sales and marketing in private businesses, and 10 years with non-profit institutions training microbusinesses and managment of loan programs. He graduated from the University of Federico Villarreal in physics, and has taken several technical courses in microbusiness. He is a participating member of the directive committee of the National Association for Fair Trade (Peru).
Maribel Inga Mendez
Received her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of John the Baptist in Peru, and has participated in seminars and workshops organized by the Catholic University of Peru. She studied logistics, taxation, budgeting, and marketing. She has worked in both the public and private sectors in Peru, and has experience in handling financial data. Maribel handles export of project merchandise and general administration of the Fair Trade Project. She trains project artisans in management and quality control in order to meet international standards. Maribel works to strengthen the project and helps the artisans' products find both national and international markets.
William Román
Holds a graduate degree in Micro-enterprise Advising and Consulting from the National University of San Marcos. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Los Andes University's School of Accounting and Finance and attended the Santiago Antunez de Mayolo Pilan Superior Institute of Technology in Huancayo, Peru for accounting. William worked for 5 years in the private and public sectors, in both urban and rural areas. He has established base line data studies for cooperatives developing tourism programs, social network studies on social action agencies, and has advised artisans in the Ene/Tambo River basins. He is currently in charge of identifying new artisan groups in Junín and Huancavelica Departments for the Bridge of Hope Fair Trade project.
Claudia Arana
Studied Comunications and has experience in customer service and retail. She works in the our Fair Trade store and is in charge of the administrative duties.

Ruth Farrell
Worked for over 15 years in assisting small businesses start and grow and was part of the beginins of the Bridge of Hope Fair Trade Project. Prior to working in Peru, she worked with business start-ups in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, with a program that offered training and loans to women and immigrants. She also worked with community development in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. She has a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Seeing artisans internalize the values that embody fair trade through their experience of operating a business based on the values of transparency and solidarity gives her enthusiasm for this project and hope for changed patterns of consumerism.

A volunteer from the Presbyterian Church USA. She is a graphic designer and worked with our web page and artisan groups

A volunteer from the Presbyterian Church. She is a clothing designer and assisted artisan groups with product designs.

Carmen Caldas
Carmen, 24, joined Bridge of Hope in March 2006. She works in the Miraflores fair trade store
Katty Castro
Katty has worked with Bridge of Hope since December 2004. She works in administration and sales at the Fair Trade store located in Miraflores, Lima. At 24 she speaks fluent English and is studying business administration at a Lima University.
Cynthia Aguila
Studied 3 years in the the Catholic language center and courses pre-TESOS to be a language teacher, and worked as a high school English teacher. Now, she works in our Fair Trade store in Miraflores.
Eduardo Arboccó
Is a pastor who studied at both the Latin American Seminary (now the UBL) and the Faculty of Religious Sciences at the National University (Heredia, Costa Rica). There Eduardo pastored an Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Costa Rica (FIEC). In Peru, he is a member of the Presbytery of Northeast Lima of the Evangelical Church of Peru and the President of the Fraternidad Cristiana Vida, a member of Peru's Joining Hands Network. He currently works as group facilitator in the Fair Trade Project. Eduardo's hope is to increase the quality of life for the project artisans—not just in fair trade marketing but in the family life as well. The artisans' lives can impact neighbors, friends and relatives, helping all to realize that the God of life and justice works through everyone.
