Peruvian Artisan Week 2010

From March 10 through 28, we are celebrating Peruvian Artisan Week in Lima. Artisans and organizations from throughout the country have gathered in Lima to participate in a Mass, ceremonies of recognition for the artisans, seminars and workshops, folk dance presentations, a parade through the center of Lima, and a fair displaying the artisans´ products where the Peru Joining Hands Network and the artisans from our fair trade program Bridge of Hope participated in every event.

The Peru Joining Hands Network, with its fair trade program Bridge of Hope – Fair Trade Peru and the artisans are very proud to share with you that we have been recognized by the District of Miraflores as a dedicated institution promoting the work of Peruvian artisans and fair trade. We´ve attached a few photos from the event to thank you for your participation, support, colaboration, and confidence in our program. Bridge of Hope could not exist without the invaluable participation of our artisans and our clients who purchase in solidarity.
Thank you all very much, and we continue in the hope of creating a world of justice and solidarity, crafted by hands of our program`s artisans.

Sincerely,
The Fair Trade Team of the Peru Joining Hands Network
